In the year of 2013, the 5th season of the Hetalia anime,The Beautiful World aired between January and June and extra unaired episodes were included in the DVD releases. Around this time of the year, I started the original version of my Hetalia AU fanfic, Hindrance and worked on the fanfic for two years. I finished the fanfic on 2015, in the same year, when the 6th Hetalia anime, The World Twinkle aired.

A Hetalia ship, BelaPan (Japan/Belarus) and Hetalia Gakuen were my main inspiration for Hindrance. I spend most of my Hetalia fandom days on DeviantART and was introduced to the BelaPan ship which quickly became my Hetalia OTP, Hetalia OCs and Hetalia Canon x OC ships. I also have other Hetalia Canon x Canon ships as well. I also like the concept of Hetalia Gakuen and imagined Belarus as the protagonist instead of Seychelles. I did not like how Belarus was written in the canon source so I did research online and read a few of books about the actual country of Belarus to give more life to her character.

After rereading the whole original version of Hindrance in finished form, I ended up deteting the whole thing cuz I felt uncomfortable with some things I've written about and the writing was messy as hell. Unfortunately, I'm no longer have the original chapters. The original version is gone forever.Should I have known about internet archive back in 2013, I should have archived the whole fanfic online. I should have kept the original chapters in a folder in a USB. I regretted deleting the whhole thing and now I do not have the original to compare it to my rewrite.

Nowadays, I have higher muse for my crossover fanfics than my non-crossover ones, so the rewrite version of Hindrance will be pretty slow. What a shame to come down to this.

If anyone from the Hetalia fandom around 2013 remember the original version of my Hetalia AU fanfic, thank you for remembering such a fanfic despite the original no longer existed and hopefully you enjoy the rewrite of it.
